*These earphones were gifted by Sudio. However, this does not affect the integrity of this review.
I play instruments, I write songs, and I listen to it a whole lot. If I’m alone when I’m walking down the street, using public transport or working out, you can guarantee that there’s music playing in my ears. I don’t like silence, I never have, and as a result, I’m the kind of person that will turn around and go back home to get them if I realise that I’ve left my earphones at home. Therefore, when I don’t have a good pair I find it very unsettling.
Around a year ago I got an iPhone 8+ and lost my much-loved headphone jack. Without a chance to process it, my choices were either get an adapter and face the fact that I won’t be able to charge my phone and listen to music at the same time or invest in Bluetooth headphones – a concept that I was strongly against at the time. I struggled through the whole headphone-jack-charger-port situation for as long as I possibly could. However, eventually that depleting iPhone battery caught up with me, and I had to give in.
I wasn’t going to go straight to Apple Airpods – they cost an arm and a leg and I didn’t even know if I was going to like Bluetooth earphones. So, I bought a cheap starter pair and tested the waters. Turns out, Bluetooth headphones are so much easier, and pretty easy to get used to. However, the cheap pair I had weren’t the best… They kept cutting out, took ages to switch off and didn’t have great battery life. But I didn’t want to commit to the hefty price of Airpods… That’s where Sudio came along.
Sudio Tolv earphones are wireless Bluetooth headphones from the brand Sudio. They’re compatible with iOS and Android, are sweat-resistant, have a built-in microphone and come with a cute charging case. They come in white, black, pale blue, pale pink and forest green, and cost a total of £99, but you can get 15% off with the code thoughtsfromjasmine, making them £84.15.
I received the pale pink pair from Sudio and was very eager to try them out. They arrived within 3 days after promising 3-5, were packaged beautifully, with a free gift included (I got a passport case but I believe you now get something different), and come with free shipping in general. Within the package you receive the earphones, a charging case (Which you not only charge the earphones in, but can use them to give your earphones extra charge when out), a charger, warranty and instruction manual.
On reading the instruction manual and giving them a good charge, I got ready to take my earphones on their first outing, and safe to say I was impressed. One of my favourite features was the fact that once synced to your phone once, they automatically switch on and connect to your phone when you take them out of their case (Much like Airpods – I checked – my dad has them). Also similarly to Airpods, the case charges alongside the Sudio Tolv’s, and you can use it to charge your earphones 4 extra times while out and about. As someone who was always caught sitting in silence because her old Bluetooth headphones died on her, I absolutely love this feature.
As if all of the flashy features weren’t enough, the sound quality is great – I honestly have no complaints. They strike me as the perfect (In my opinion, comfier), cheaper alternative to Airpods, and they come in cooler colours. I really could not recommend the Sudio Tolv’s enough. If you’re looking for Bluetooth earphones that don’t fully break the bank, these are the ones for you. And with 15% off with the code thoughtsfromjasmine, you can’t really go wrong.
Thank you so much to Sudio for sending these earphones! Have you been converted to Bluetooth earphones? Let me know in the comments.
Lots of love,
Jas xx
