So I am back today with the November edition of my Monthly Review Series: the series where I thoroughly test out a new product/service and detail:
- The details of the product/service (price and company)
- First impressions (and in this case, I’m gonna talk you through the process)
- My opinions on my final result
- Whether it’s worth the money
This month’s review is one what I think will really appeal to bloggers, youtubers and small business owners: Logojoy.
What is particularly exciting about this post is that logojoy were lovely enough to contact me to review their logo making site (which I greatly appreciate and am so thankful for), however I really appreciated the companies transparency. They were so intent on stressing that I didn’t let them influence the post at all (which I never do, I pride myself on being genuine in all of my reviews, regardless of whether I’ve worked with the company or not), and asked to have no input in what I wrote/how I reviewed the product, and I really appreciated that. So, speaking of my honest review, it’s about time I got into it:
The Details: What is Logojoy?
Logojoy is a website that uses artificial intelligence to help you create a unique, personalised logo for your company or website or youtube channel or whatever you want to be honest. They promise to “Instantly generate beautiful designs”, tailored to the choices you make.
In terms of prices, creating the logo is free, so you can mess around and “try before you buy” as it were. Then, if you actually like your logo and want to download and use it for your business, you can pay different prices for different packages:
- For $20 (Roughly £15): You get a one time download of your logo.
- For $65 (Roughly £50): You can edit and re-download your logo as many times as you want, your logo comes in a higher resolution, you get alternate versions of your logo (one with a transparent background, one black version and one white version), and you get full copyright ownership.
- For $165 (Roughly £125): You get everything above, as well as a social media kit, one hour design time, and vector EPS and SVG files (which I’m assuming fancy tech people will understand, because that sure is foreign language to me).
In order to test out their site, I had a go at designing myself a new logo, and I went for the $65 premium package as I felt that it was the one most suited for my blog.
First Impressions/The Process…
For a personalised logo site it’s pretty simple. I wasn’t sure what it would consist of, but essentially you just follow some easy steps and bam you have a logo…
- Fill in the name of your business
- Pick the 5 logos you like the most from the grid of examples they give you
- Enter a colour you like the most (you pick a general colour, but it lists all the shades and variations of that colour – you can customise and change the colour later on, but this gives you a rough guideline)
- Enter a slogan for your business is you want one
- Pick 5 symbols that you think most represent you (There are so many to choose from)
- Choose from the logos they create for you (Or ask them to create more if you don’t like any of them)
- Customise it further by being able to change the font/size/symbol/colours/shape
One thing I noticed was that I had way more customising choice than I anticipated – it was stressful because I sure am a perfectionist that has issues making up her mind… However, despite my quirks, I was impressed with how simple and straightforward the site was to use.
The Results (and my opinion)
After spending a while switching up fonts and colours – and sending my top 4 to my friends to vote on – I was left with this final result:

My logo
I’ve never had a logo before so I don’t really know what I was expecting in terms of a “customised logo” but I have to say, I am pleased with the final result. The first thing I thought when I saw it was “this would look very cute on a business card”, so I guess they’ve got the balance between cute and professional down.
What I also liked about their site is that, once you’ve finished your logo you are presented with a slideshow of pictures showing what your logo would look like on different products (T-shirts, business cards, books, phone screens, billboards), helping you decide how “marketable” your logo is, which I’m sure small businesses and bigger bloggers than me would find very useful.
It didn’t take to long to make, and I ended up with a simple yet polished and personal result – overall I would say it was a success!
Is it Worth the Money?
I feel like each package is worth it/not worth it depending on how serious you are about your business.
For example, I enjoyed the premium package and the amount of different versions of my logo I got. If I were to advance my blog to a more “marketable” stage (with business cards and a self-hosted site etc.) then I think paying £50 for a logo that I can use on all of my different means of advertising would be worth it! Here I was met with a sleek, professional logo that I could slap on a business card and be proud of. However, something like the £125 package would not be worth it for me because I’m not massively tech-savvy or advanced in the blogging world, so there is no need for me to spend so much more for the extra features.
As for people like me who are just starting up/use blogging as a hobby more than anything else, I would strongly recommend the £15 package. If you’re not super serious about marketing yourself, but feel like your blog/youtube/business needs a little sprucing up, £15 is a very decent price for a professional looking logo that you can use on your site! They stick to a standard logo design price, with the added bonus of you being able to customise your every want and need.
Overall, I have to say I was a little sceptical going into it, but Logojoy actually impressed me! I wasn’t sure what to expect from their “customisable” system, but I came out of it with a logo I would happily use to take my blog further. I might even make it my little email icon…
Thanks again to Logojoy for asking me to review their software! If you guys wanna try making your own logo, click here and tell me what you think of logojoy!
Lots of love,
Jas xx
